Elder Dr. Dave Courchene Jr., was one of the greatest orators Indian Country has ever known. His statement on Anishinaabe Nationhood is among the most profound thought I have ever witnessed.
I met Elder Dr. Dave Courchene Jr. (Nii Gaani Aki Innini - Leading Earth Man) many times in my travels. We’d run into each other in airports, hotels, and the occasional Wal-Mart.
