The Fluency Failure Of Reconciliation

The fluency of reconciliation has failed Canadians and more importantly, it has failed Indian Residential School survivors, their families, and their communities.

The reconciliation orgy is over.

In the earliest days of what was coined as Canada's reconciliation movement, reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people felt like a horned-up late-night bar scene at 2 a.m. Everyone rolls the dice, picks a partner, and goes home to fuck. I mean, reconcile. Then sees where it goes from there.
